I needed a compact printer for occasional use with wireless Samsung netbook in the bedroom, and this was the best-rated of those under $200. Setup was easy with the clear & thorough illustrated instructions, and printing has been fast and trouble-free. I adjusted the print quality so it doesn't use too much ink. My only complaint would be that initial paper feed makes a noise loud enough to scare the cat, but operation is fairly quiet.
this product is great, but it really jerks when the paper is fed into the printer
Paid over 200.00 for this printer because i was unhappy with the quality of my hp printer. Wish i had invested in a different Printer because its consistency is far below my expectations. With the canon ip 100 i got cheaper cartridges but i constantly have to clean the printer heads because the colors with start and stop working while it appears ink cartridges are full, by the time i fix the problem it won't print anymore pictures for me. Perfect for the small office on the go but not intended for constant prints of quality pictures portably on the go. Can i trade it in. When it does work correctly the first time, it works great.
I can't say enough about the Canon IP-100.Very fast printing, easy set up,and compact in size.BUT. be very careful of the fold out lid it is very delicate, you don't want to ham fist this one.All said,i would highlyrecommend the IP-100.
I know that it is small, easy to store, easy to use and prints very well. This printer is perfect for anyone who works in their truck (or car)and needs to be able to print on the run. I don't know about its features and I don't care about its print speed. As with any electronic item with a lot of moving parts I would store it in something that provide some cushion. If your needs are like those I described above you can't go wrong with this printer.
